1. What Are Cookies?

Similar technologies, such as pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage, may also be used for the same purposes and are covered by this policy.
Some of the technologies described in this policy are placed directly by SiliconPath Law, while others are placed by third-party vendors whose tools, widgets, or advertising services we use, including our analytics provider, our website hosting platform, our scheduling and forms tools, and our advertising and social media partners. Some of these technologies load on every page, while others load only on the specific pages where the related feature appears, such as our scheduling page, our contact and newsletter forms, or pages with an embedded video.
2. Consent & Your Choices
Our cookie banner is configured by region, so that visitors see the consent experience that applies under their own jurisdiction's legal standard, rather than a single global banner:
- Opt-in regions (consent required before tracking): European Union/European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, Canada, Brazil, and South Africa. Visitors from these regions see a blocking consent banner before any page content loads, and all non-essential cookies (including analytics and advertising cookies) remain blocked until you make an active choice. We have deliberately included California in this opt-in group, as a more protective standard than the opt-out model that CCPA/CPRA otherwise permits.
- All other regions (including most of the United States and India): no blocking banner is shown, and analytics and advertising cookies may run by default. These visitors instead see a persistent "Your Privacy Choices" link in the website footer, which opens an opt-out preference center where non-essential cookies can be disabled at any time.
Where a banner is shown, you are given the following options, presented with equal prominence:
- Accept All: allows all categories of cookies to run.
- Reject All: blocks all non-essential cookies; only strictly necessary cookies will run.
- Manage Preferences: allows you to toggle individual cookie categories on or off.
Your consent choice is recorded in a consent log, and, for supported technologies, is communicated using an industry-standard consent-signaling framework so that advertising and analytics tools respect your choice. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" or "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of any page.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential/Functional Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our website. They enable core functionality such as page navigation, form submissions, security features, storing your cookie preference settings, and keeping an active session on our online scheduling widget while you book a consultation. A short-lived bot-detection and security cookie also supports several of our third-party embeds.
Because these cookies are essential, they do not require your consent and cannot be disabled through our consent banner. You may disable them through your browser settings, but doing so will likely prevent portions of the website from functioning properly, including scheduling.
Analytics Cookies
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) and traffic and session analytics provided by our website hosting platform, to understand how visitors interact with our website. These cookies collect information such as:
- Pages visited
- Time spent on the website
- Traffic sources
- Device and browser information
The information collected is aggregated and anonymized where feasible and is used solely to improve website performance and user experience. IP anonymization is enabled in our Google Analytics configuration, meaning full IP addresses are not stored. Some analytics cookies associated with our hosting platform are injected by that platform rather than configured directly by us.
In opt-in regions, analytics cookies are only loaded after you provide consent via the banner. In other regions, they may load by default, subject to your right to opt out as described in Sections 6 and 7.

Planned: Session Analytics and Heatmapping
We plan to deploy an additional analytics tool that records aggregated visitor interaction patterns (such as scrolling and clicks) to help us improve page design. This tool is not yet live. Once deployed, it will be configured to mask sensitive input fields, will be added to the cookie inventory in Section 4, and will be gated behind your consent in opt-in regions.
Advertising and Marketing Cookies
Our website uses advertising and marketing technologies to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and, in permitted jurisdictions, to deliver relevant advertising. These currently include a social media advertising pixel, a professional-network advertising and analytics tag, and search engine advertising conversion tracking. These technologies may collect information such as pages visited, actions taken on our site, and device or browser identifiers, and may share this information with the relevant advertising platform.
In opt-in regions, these cookies remain blocked until you affirmatively consent through our cookie banner. In other regions, they may load by default, subject to your right to opt out as described in Sections 6 and 7. Where this activity constitutes a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable law, you may opt out at any time, as described in Section 7.
Forms Cookies (Contact and Newsletter Pages)
Pages that include a contact form or newsletter sign-up form use cookies from our forms and marketing platform to identify visitors who interact with those forms and to track related session activity. These cookies are limited to the specific pages carrying the relevant form.
Embedded Video Cookies
Pages that include an embedded video use cookies from the video platform to store consent state, manage feature rollout, and, once a video is actually played, to maintain a session identifier and support bandwidth optimization. These cookies are limited to the specific pages carrying an embedded video and, in some cases, are only set once playback begins.
Social Media Links
Our website includes links to social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram. When you click through to any social media platform, that platform may place its own cookies on your device based on your account and browsing activity with that platform. SiliconPath Law does not control those cookies, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of each platform. This is separate from the LinkedIn and Meta advertising technologies described above, which operate directly on our website rather than through these footer links.
Technologies Not Currently in Use
We do not currently use Adobe Analytics on our website. If this changes, this policy and the cookie inventory in Section 4 will be updated accordingly, and consent will be sought before any such technology is activated in opt-in regions.
4. Cookie Inventory
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies currently active on this website, organized by function. Some load on every page, while others load only where the related feature appears, as noted.
As part of preparing this inventory, we also reviewed several items flagged by an automated scan of our website that are not, in fact, active cookies and have been excluded below: a set of Adobe Analytics cookies (no Adobe Analytics code is present on our site), an "error" entry associated with connect.facebook.net (not an active cookie), and the numeric value 18296543362 (which is a Google Ads conversion ID used for reporting, not a cookie).

This table is reviewed and updated whenever our tag configuration changes, including when the planned analytics tool described above is deployed.
5. Google Tag Manager Disclosure
This website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM), a tag management system that allows us to deploy and manage third-party scripts (tags), such as our analytics and, where applicable, advertising tags described in Section 3, from a single interface without modifying website code directly.
GTM itself does not collect personal data. However, the tags it loads, such as Google Analytics, may do so. We have configured GTM together with our consent management platform so that non-essential tags are blocked from firing in opt-in regions until user consent is obtained via our cookie consent banner.
We periodically audit active GTM tags and will update Section 4 and this section whenever new tags are added or removed.
6. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, a browser-level opt-out mechanism supported under California's CCPA/CPRA regulations.
If your browser or browser extension broadcasts a GPC signal when you visit our website, we will treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Non-essential cookies and data-sharing integrations, including the advertising and marketing technologies described in Section 3, will be suppressed accordingly, and your preference will be reflected in our consent log.
When a GPC signal is detected, you will see a visible confirmation message on the page confirming that your opt-out preference has been applied.
7. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. However, our use of Google Analytics, and our use of advertising technologies from Meta, Google Ads, and LinkedIn described in Section 3, involve sharing certain usage and device information with those providers, which may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA.
If you wish to opt out of this sharing, you may:
- Click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the website footer
- Select "Reject All," or disable the relevant cookie categories, via the Cookie Preferences banner or preference center
- Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser (see Section 6)
If you are located in an opt-in region listed in Section 2, these technologies are not enabled in the first place until you affirmatively consent.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including when new cookies or tracking technologies are added to the website, such as the planned analytics tool described in Section 3. If we add new non-essential cookies, we will update the cookie inventory table in Section 4 and, where required, seek fresh consent through our banner.
